With hard work, resilience and the support of our local community,
it has become a well-known business in Pietermaritzburg.

About Zegrys and his dad, Hans, left the corporate world in 1997 to pursue the dream of owning their own business. After a short spell in Durban, they decided to make the move to Pietermaritzburg and have been blessed by the local community's support ever since! Apart from being the owner, Zegrys is also very handy as has build all our offices, till counters and even the kiddies jungle gym himself. He is also the person in charge of our books.
Zach Pelzer
Co-owner
About Zach, the Pelzer's son, joined the business in 2017, after literally growing up in the Bargain Basket family. As an entrepreneurial spirit himself, he has brought with him many innovative ideas and new ways of thinking. Zach was the brain child behind the Bulldog Coffee bar and is actively involved in all aspects of the business.
